1) Filter using SpamAssassin on a light setting such as 10, that deposits anything
returned as *****SPAM***** in a mysql database.
2) The SPAM messages saved in step 1) must be able to be viewed via a login of their
email address and password. This will allow an account holder to see if their message
was filtered in advance by our server. We must use the same authentification used by
Postfix so we know we\\\'ve got someone allowed to view this. They may then see if we\\\'ve
filtered their legit message as spam.

Whatever is used here, there must be a superadmin variable that allows our admin to
set \\\'Purge Spam Older Than\\\' setting to stop the database from getting clogged with
spam. Perhaps even a \\\'Purge if more than XXX Records\\\' is important in case we get a
flood of spam in a short period of time that is pre-filtered using this solution.
This purge could be run from a cron job or a button within that php file.
3) Any time a new email account is created, a folder called SPAM should be created in
addition to their normal inbox, drafts, sent and trash. This will be used in the
ROUNDCUBE solution below. |
